What We Do

Solutions built for real operating conditions.

We don't just install equipment. We manage the transition.

Our solutions.

Institutional Steam

For high-volume kitchens in schools, hospitals, correctional facilities and other institutions where steam generation is an appropriate transition pathway. We assess actual meal volumes and kitchen conditions, size the system, coordinate deployment and support ongoing performance.

Electric Cooking

Efficient electric cooking for applications where grid access, cooking demand and operating economics make it the right fit.

Clean-Cooking Programmes

For counties, governments and development partners seeking coordinated transition across multiple institutions, from demand mapping and validation through financing, deployment and monitoring.

Why steam costs less.

An open fire wastes most of its wood. In field tests, open fires delivered on average only about 11% of the wood's energy to the pot. Even a carefully tended fire reaches only 20 to 30%. The rest escapes as heat and smoke. An enclosed, insulated system puts far more of each kilogram to work.

  1. Enclosed, insulated steam generator.

Combustion happens in a closed firebox, so far less heat escapes than from an open fire.

  2. One heat source for the whole kitchen.

A single generator replaces many open fires; there is no longer a separate fire idling under each pot.

  3. Indirect heating in jacketed kettles.

Steam heats the pot walls evenly and hands over its heat as it condenses, so food cooks without scorching and heat goes into the food, not the room.

  4. Fuel choice and control.

The generator can run on processed fuels such as briquettes or pellets, and the firing rate can be controlled to match meal times.

  5. Operation and monitoring.

Metered, monitored systems (via CleanCookIQ) catch waste early, and cooks spend less time tending fires.

How a centralised steam kitchen worksFirewood feeds an enclosed, insulated generator (callout 1). One heat source sends steam along a steam line to the whole kitchen (callout 2). Jacketed vessels heat food indirectly (callout 3), and the food is cooked.FirewoodEnclosedgenerator1Steam line2Jacketedvessels3Food

Share of fuel energy reaching the pot

At 11% efficiency, a kitchen burns about nine times the wood its food actually needs; at 62%, about 1.6 times. The 62% is a manufacturer's claim for an improved institutional stove, included for comparison only.
